Monique van der Vleuten

I have always been interested in health and people and went to study Health Sciences in Maastricht. After some going around and many travels with my partner, I ended up in welfare work in various positions.
Personal growth plays an important role in my life: Who am I? What do I want? I investigated this with the help of all kinds of courses, such as emotional bodywork, working with chakras and different forms of meditation. I developed from a shy girl to someone who increasingly walked her own path. Working with energy and intuition went well for me, so I became a ReikiMaster in 2002.

A new relationship brought me closer to myself and I learned to enjoy my body and my life more through dancing, meditation, massage, tantra and exploring sexuality in other ways. In addition to welfare work, I also taught medical students how to properly perform the gynecological examination as a side job.

The increasingly businesslike way of dealing with people in welfare work did not suit me and eventually resulted in a burnout. This led me to re-evaluate what were my priorities now. How can I live freely and happy?
Then I read something about dearmouring, a specific way of bodywork. I immediately knew: I want to know more about this. At the end of 2017 I followed basic training with De'an Matuka, Sanna Sanita and Susanne Roursgaard to learn how to apply this to myself and others. But most of all it was a much needed reset of my body and mind. Learning to see and recognize patterns, to deal with yourself and your clients in a responsible and honest way. I was sold and took five follow-up training courses at Dearmouring Arts and The Gaia method in 2018 and 2019. Here I learned more techniques, but especially working from your heart and your intuition. Also I did an ISTA training. All of these brought new insights into my own life and sexuality.
I learned even more as an assistant at Dearmouring Arts trainings and retreats.

I also studied breathwork, which helps to create space in your body and your life. In 2020 I took the Facilitators PranaSanna Neurotransformative Breathwork course at Sanna Sanita and belong to the first group of PranaSanna facilitators.
